BLESSING TREE

Concept

It is an interactive installation which can collect and replay audience’ wishes and blessing.

Aluminum foil was attached on each leaf. Through conductive threads, touch action is detected by a capacitive sensor which is connected to an Arduino.

There is a red Led blinking constantly. It is an indicate of a record leaf. Once touching the leaf, a notice audio clip will be played “Please record your blessing”. Then participants’ voice will be recorded during holding this leaf. When release it, this piece of audio sample will be saved and randomly be put into one of other leaves. Then participants will find his or her blessing is stored at the top of a stack wishes in one of other leaves.
