Concept

In wedding ceremony, there always be a road where a new couple will walk through and receive all guests’ applause and blessing. I built a prototype installation which can be installed both sides of this special road. I used a line of fans to form winds towards straightly upward. A transparent plastic case whose bottom is a net is settled on those fans. Foam balls are put into the case, and will float in the air blown by those fans. The speed of each fan will controlled by music, as a result foams will show diverse structures according to the music’s spectrum.

Due to the size of foam balls and the quantities of fans, the outcome based on spectrum could not be observed; accordingly I chose volume to control the fans’ speed.
