KINETIC PAINTING

Concept

This is a kinetic minimalism painting.

If there is no audience in front of the painting, only pure white light is shot to the painting to show it’s original appearance. Once a person is detected by a Kinect, a tricolor triangle will be displayed simultaneously with the actual physical triangle inside the frame. The angle of both triangles can be controlled by the positions of user’s hands. Some random color circles will appear and fly towards the triangle. If same color objects meet with each other, the saturation of the whole projection will become higher, however if different color hit each other, the saturation will be lower and finally cannot be seen in order to achieve the starting point. If there is more than one person come into the active zone, the new user will be automatically selected to control it.
